How important is keyword research?
Keyword research is essential to beginning a search engine marketing campaign. A keyword is an exact phrase that someone would search for using a search engine. We recommend 50 keywords because of the way it is arranged. For example, if you found 50 good keywords, you would find 10 excellent keywords. In contrast, if you found 10 good keywords, you would only find maybe 2 or 3 excellent keywords. What is link building?

What is a high importance link?
High importance links are links on pages which have a high Google PageRank. PageRank is a measure of importance that is translated through links to other website. Thus, the more links you have with higher PageRank, the more your web site will be weighted against your competitors in the search results.

What is a high exposure link?
High exposure links are links on educational and high trafficked websites such as wikipedia and yahoo answers. These websites don't necessarily translate PageRank (nofollow) like the others do, but do often produce a large amount of click-through traffic and exposure. All high trafficked links are also relevant, but not necessarily anchored or not nofollow. Expect an average of 5-15 visitors for the first month per link.

What do you recommend?
We recommend a lot of relevant and anchored links, a few high importance links, and a healthy amount of high trafficked links. It only takes a few good links to help with PageRank. Studies show that PageRank is not greatly affected by relevancy, so there is no need to pay extra for the relevant & anchored high importance (PR2+) links unless you deem this observation inaccurate from your own doubt or experience.

What is article / blog writing?
Article / blog writing provides content for your website, blog, or article marketing campaigns. It provides many combinations of keywords for search engine traffic, which spawned the phrase "content is king". In addition, good article writing is the staple of "link bait" - a term used to signify content which other people might want to link to.

What do you recommend?
We recommend to have as many articles as possible. You should start off with a smaller amount, probably five. This is so that you can feed the articles into your own websites first, gaining search engine traffic from the "fresh content" factor. Also, this gives search engines time to realize that your site was the first place they have found the article. Yahoo!, in particular, is big into giving original content higher ranking in the search results.

What is article marketing?
Article Marketing is the process of submitting professionally written content to various directories. Each directory has high traffic from search engines and avid users. In addition, many directories have RSS subscribers and content hunters who will spread the article around in thousands of places across the internet. At the end of each article, there exists an author bio box in which your company website will be promoted. This potentially generates many links pointing to your company homepage.

There are various techniques to increase exposure and web traffic. The best trick is to keep writing more and more articles and build a web presence. Another technique is to try to avoid duplicate content filters in the search results by rewriting an article before submitting it to each directory. Press releases provide all information intended for media to cover your story. The more the story is readable, the more likely a media contact will pick it up. In addition, press releases are stored on certain web sites for a length of time or indefinite to pick up search engine traffic.

What are local business listings?
Local business listings are websites and directories that hold large databases of company information for companies across the globe. However, these are categorized by location so that the viewer of these services can return local results if desired. Certain examples of these local listing services include Google Maps and Local. Many times a company's information is wrong or undesired on a web site because a database has released old government information to its partners. Therefore, included as a part of submission is also correction to these listings.

We recommend submission into the Top 10 Local Listings. The reason for this is that many of the other local listings are merely copying the bigger companies' databases or have many affiliations and partnering databased.

What are free web directories?
Before search engines existed, people browsed the internet through web directories - pages and pages of organized web sites by sections and categories - sometimes many layers deep. Yahoo held the largest paid directory and had created a search engine for their directory web sites. Next, Google decided to build a search engine to crawl the largest free directory - DMOZ. Even today, web directories are a well traveled path to browse the internet.

How can web directories help me?
Free web directories are often superior, as they hold higher volumes of web sites. In addition to standard traffic, web directories also help search engine traffic by increasing the number of quality inbound links.

What do you recommend?
We recommend submission into the Top 20 free web directories due to the ease in the submission process. We will go to your site and best describe your description and keywords, and if there are any questions, you will be contacted. Submission is guaranteed, but inclusion is not guaranteed. Inclusion may take several months depending on the web directory's backlog.

Why submit to search engines?
Search engines do not automatically find your web site. You must either tell the search engine that your web site exists, or you must post a link on a web page which is already indexed in the search engines. There are no other methods of inclusion into the search engine - bottom line. The problem today is that inclusion is a long process.

How can I speed up this process?
The only way to speed up search engine inclusion is to either receive a lot of inbound links or to submit a sitemap using their webmaster tools. We do not, as a company, do this type of work because it requires the web site owner and webmaster to either include a meta tag on the home page or include an orphaned web page with encoded file name or content.
